I could live on soups. And dips. But you know that because I must have said it at least a million times! And that is the honest truth – soups, comfort stews and dips are my food heaven, not forgetting about an occasional pasta!
Today Spicy Avocado Sauce will also join the ranks of Garlic Matters’ collection because it is so very special and worth every spoonful of its heavenly avocado and roasted garlic creaminess.
Super light, velvety smooth and really, really tasty Spicy Avocado Sauce is a dream come true if mixed with pasta or liberally poured over steamed vegetables, cold meat salad, chicken breast or even on an open sandwich.
If you use it as a dip, which I do way too often, beware! It is difficult to stop on a single serving and you risk spoiling your appetite if you eat it before the main course! The trouble is that avocados don’t like being left for later once cut open and the same applies to my delicious Spicy Avocado Sauce. The bottom line is: make as much as you want to eat at a time, so you don’t have any seconds.
What makes Spicy Avocado Sauce so special?
It is the avocado whipped together with milk (I use dairy free milk, Almond Breeze), which makes the Spicy Avocado Sauce so light and fluffy and gives it that beautiful, difficult to resist, velvety smooth texture. Roasted garlic really supports the deep flavour and cayenne pepper brings in the spicy kick. Lemon or lime juice adds the zing and lifts it all up to the full flavour heights. It is a kind of guacamole spinoff, but silky smooth and with deep, nutty, roasted garlic notes. So good!
My recipe will produce 2 cups like this below.
FYI: This, 1 cup, cutest ever, Pioneer Woman measuring cup ( part of set of 4) was given to me as a gift from a kind friend Kimberly, who’s been a wonderful cheerleader of Garlic Matters from the very beginning. Thanks Kim, this was exactly what I needed to make my yumazing Spicy Avocado Sauce look even more yummy! xox
