Peeling a garlic clove
- use a sharp knife to remove the bottom, root, and flat end of the garlic clove
- place the clove on the chopping board and the flat side of a wide knife on the top of the clove
- smack the flat side of the knife (with the clove underneath) with your free hand
This should loosen up the garlic clove skins and crush the garlic clove as well. You can do this with more than one clove at a time by the way! Now you can chop it, slice it or do whatever your heart desire with the lovely stinking rose.
